Sejal Pawar sent on 15-day leave over male cadavers’ joke at Pranit More’s show

Sejal Pawar, an undergraduate MBBS student at Mumbai’s civic-run KEM Hospital, has been sent on a 15-day leave and barred from entering the hostel and college campus days after her controversial male cadavers’ remark during stand-up comedian Pranit More’s show.

The action came days after a viral video from the More’s show featured Pawar making derogatory comments regarding medical cadavers and male bodies used for educational purposes. KEM authorities later flagged the remarks as highly disrespectful to the dignity of the deceased. She laterĀ apologised for her crass comments.

KEM Hospital has sent MBBS student Sejal Pawar on 15-day leave over remarks made during Pranit More’s show. The institute has launched a probe as the controversy widened to police action and public backlash.
