Dr. K.A. Paul, founder of the U.S.-based Global Peace Initiative (GPI) and renowned international peace envoy, has appealed to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to cease all military operations against Iran. Speaking from the Praja Shanti Party headquarters in Hyderabad, Dr. Paul warned that continued aggression could trigger a global crisis.
“Prime Minister Netanyahu’s decision to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities is a grave mistake,” Dr. Paul declared. “This is not merely an attack on Iran—it risks provoking major powers such as Russia, China, and North Korea. It is, in effect, an invitation to World War III.”
Having previously served as a state guest in both Israel and Iran, Dr. Paul urged Netanyahu to prioritize humanitarian values and expressed deep concern over the deteriorating situation in Gaza. “Over one million people in Gaza are on the brink of starvation. Such suffering is unacceptable. Neither God, nor history, nor humanity will ever forgive this injustice.”
In light of the recent Air India Flight AI-171 accident near Ahmedabad, Dr. Paul also put forward several urgent demands to improve India’s aviation sector and ensure accountability:
-
Prime Minister Narendra Modi should step down immediately, handing over leadership to younger generations in accordance with the BJP-RSS retirement policy after 75 years of governance.
-
Home Minister Amit Shah should assume the role of Interim Prime Minister, given his extensive administrative experience.
-
Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu must tender his resignation at once, as his background lacks aviation expertise.
-
Adani Group, the operator of Ahmedabad Airport, must accept full responsibility for the crash and provide each affected family with ₹100 crore in interim relief pending the conclusion of the official investigation.
-
Ahmedabad’s runway must be expanded to meet international standards, and all illegal constructions around the airport must be strictly removed.
Dr. Paul also highlighted critical infrastructure failures at Ahmedabad Airport—poor ground handling and insufficient emergency services—which significantly contributed to the disaster’s severity. “I have been piloting private aircraft since 1991. Aviation is an extraordinarily complex and sensitive field. We cannot tolerate incompetence or negligence at the highest levels. What we need now is transparency, accountability, and swift corrective action.”
Concluding his address, Dr. Paul urged Indian citizens to remain vigilant and demand that the central government, aviation authorities, and private airport operators be held accountable to prevent such tragedies in the future.
