Chhattisgarh has received Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) proposals worth ₹43,250 crore at the inaugural Singapore-India Network for Growth (SING) Forum 2026 in Singapore, marking a significant development in the state’s efforts to attract international investment in technology and digital infrastructure.

The largest proposal comes from Singapore-based Energy Capital Global Pte Ltd, which has proposed an investment of ₹41,750 crore to establish a 100 MW hyperscale data centre in Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai formally handed over an ‘Investment Invitation Letter’ to representatives of Energy Capital Global Pte Ltd for the proposed project and invited Singapore-based companies and investors to explore opportunities in the state.

₹41,750 Crore Hyperscale Data Centre Proposal

The proposed 100 MW hyperscale data centre is being viewed as a major step in Chhattisgarh’s efforts to diversify beyond its traditional industrial sectors and establish itself as a destination for digital infrastructure and technology-led investment.

A project of this scale could strengthen the state’s data and digital infrastructure while creating opportunities for technology companies, service providers and other businesses operating around the digital ecosystem.

The investment proposal also signals growing international interest in Chhattisgarh’s investment environment and its potential to attract large-scale technology projects.

Commenting on the development, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that the FDI proposals received at the SING Forum demonstrate international confidence in the state.

“At SING Forum 2026, we secured FDI commitments worth ₹43,250 crore, led by a ₹41,750 crore commitment from Singapore’s Energy Capital Global for a 100 MW hyperscale data centre in our State,” Sai said.

He added that the proposed investment reflects confidence in Chhattisgarh’s policies, potential and people, and said the state is ready to welcome more global investors.

Chhattisgarh Seeks Greater Singapore Investment

The Singapore-India Network for Growth (SING) Forum is designed to strengthen economic and business cooperation between Singapore and India.

The platform brings together policymakers, industry representatives, market development experts and enterprises to explore opportunities across sectors including technology, infrastructure, advanced manufacturing and digital ecosystems.

During his Singapore visit, Chief Minister Sai interacted with industry representatives at the SING Forum and invited them to explore investment opportunities in Chhattisgarh.

He highlighted the state’s industrial capabilities, natural resources and emerging opportunities across new-age sectors.

Focus on Technology, Green Energy and Urban Development

Sai said Chhattisgarh is expanding beyond its traditional strengths in minerals and conventional industries and is positioning itself as a destination for technology, innovation and global investment.

According to the state government, its investment strategy aims to combine Chhattisgarh’s natural resources and industrial base with modern technology and emerging industries.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the potential for collaboration between Singapore’s technological expertise and experience in urban development and Chhattisgarh’s industrial capabilities.

Discussions at the SING Forum covered potential cooperation in areas such as:

  • Technology and professional capability centres

  • Logistics and supply chain infrastructure

  • Green energy

  • Industrial infrastructure

  • Urban development

  • Digital infrastructure

The proposed collaborations could contribute to employment generation, skill development and technology transfer while creating new business opportunities between Singapore and Chhattisgarh.

State Targets Technology-Led Growth

The ₹43,250 crore investment proposals received at SING Forum 2026 are expected to strengthen Chhattisgarh’s efforts to attract international capital and expand its presence in technology and digital infrastructure.

The proposed hyperscale data centre, in particular, could play a role in developing the state’s digital ecosystem and attracting additional technology-focused investments.

The developments also underline the state government’s broader strategy of positioning Chhattisgarh as a competitive industrial and investment destination while expanding into technology-driven sectors.
