Juniper Hotels to Invest ₹850 Crore in New 550-Key Luxury Hotel in Dwarka
Juniper Hotels Limited is set to invest around ₹850 crore to develop a new luxury five-star hotel in Sector 23, Dwarka, New Delhi, as the company expands its presence in the capital's growing hospitality market.
The proposed hotel will add approximately 550 keys to Juniper Hotels' portfolio. Once completed, the company's presence in New Delhi is expected to reach nearly 1,000 keys.
Juniper Hotels has signed a licence deed with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) through its wholly owned subsidiary, Juniper Hospitality Assets Private Limited. The agreement was executed in the presence of Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.
Hotel to Overlook Dwarka Golf Course
The upcoming property will be located overlooking the DDA Dwarka Golf Course, an 18-hole golf course designed by golf course architects Phil Ryan and Paul Reeves.
The hotel is expected to cater to both premium leisure and business travellers and is targeted for completion by 2030.
Its location is also expected to benefit from its proximity to major business, convention and sporting destinations in Dwarka.
Close to Yashobhoomi Convention Centre
The proposed hotel will be located near Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, one of India's major convention and exhibition destinations, as well as the Dwarka Sports Complex.
The property is also expected to serve the proposed Diplomatic Enclave planned opposite the hotel site, positioning the development within an emerging business, convention and diplomatic hub in New Delhi.
The location could provide the hotel with access to growing demand from corporate travellers, business events, exhibitions, conferences and premium leisure visitors.
Juniper Targets 3,900 Keys by FY2030-31
With the new Delhi development and its other projects under construction, Juniper Hotels expects to have a portfolio of 12 hotels.
The company is also evaluating inorganic growth opportunities as it works towards its target of increasing its total room inventory to approximately 3,900 keys by FY2030-31.
Juniper currently operates seven hotels with a combined 1,895 keys, including 245 serviced apartments. The company is also scheduled to open the Westin Bengaluru, with 235 rooms, in October 2026.
In addition, five other greenfield projects are currently at various stages of development.
Focus on India's Key Hospitality Markets
Juniper Hotels' portfolio is present across major hospitality and economic markets including Mumbai, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Bengaluru.
The company focuses on developing and owning premium hospitality assets in locations with strong corporate, leisure and Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) demand.
The new Dwarka project is expected to strengthen Juniper's presence in the Delhi hospitality market while expanding its development pipeline.
